3D movies: yay or nay?

Today is the premier of Jurassic Park 3D, a revamp of the original 1993 blockbuster. Aside from making some of us feel very, very old (can you believe Jurassic Park came out 20 years ago!?), it's a reminder that more and more movies are being re-released in 3D. But do moviegoers actually prefer seeing films in 3D, or will the trend fade?

As of today, 55% of votetrends online poll respondents like 3D movies "for the most part," but 20% say the 3D hurts their head. Are movie makers ignoring the 1 in 5 people who dislike the 3D experience by churning out average-quality 3D movies every other weekend? Or are more directors moving toward cutting-edge visual technology like that used in Avatar, which 25% of our voters says was the only 3D movie they enjoyed in the theatre?
